About
Hi y’all! My name is Amanda Hardcastle and I’m a director, writer, and creative storyteller from Fresno, CA. I graduated from John Paul the Great Catholic University in Escondido, CA with a BS in Communications Media and an emphasis in directing and production.
While at John Paul the Great Catholic University, I worked on many student films, a feature film, and was assistant choreographer and dance captain for the summer 2024 musical. I also assistant directed the theatre productions “Uncle Vanya” and “Romeo and Juliet”. For my senior thesis project, I directed the acting practicum short film “Liv Laf Luv Inc.”
I have a passion for sharing creativity, the beauty of nature, and highlighting human experiences. I love to travel and have been on many roadtrips across the Western United States and internationally to various parts of Europe, the U.K., Mexico and Canada. My favorite parts about traveling are getting to experience the unique beauty and wonder of each place.

When I’m not traveling or working on projects, I like to put on my boots and go line dancing with my friends. I may have grown up in the valley, but I’m a self-proclaimed coastal cowgirl at heart.
I grew up in a family of movie-lovers and got to cultivate a passion for film from a young age. Growing up I made movies with my neighborhood friends and eventually ventured into other art forms. I started dancing at a young age, but left it to pursue volleyball. Nine years later, I missed the creative state that dance brought me too and within a few months I was back dancing at the studio.
I learned many styles like ballet, contemporary, modern, jazz, and musical theater. I did color guard competitively in high school and used dance as an outlet for creative freedom and expression. I spent my time learning choreography, performing, and writing my own choreography for myself and others.
Dancing is a big part of my life, but I also enjoy photographing my travels, my friends, and whatever catches my eye (usually nature or a cute cow).
